Research Staytreat at Villa Hatt
Last week, our group held its first lab staytreat on top of Zurich.
Over five days, we focused on deepening collaboration, reflecting on our teacher education program, and sparking new ideas for its future. Throughout the days, we were also very happy to welcome many guests from the program and Isabel and Holly, who will join our lab after the summer as doctoral students.
We spent two days reviewing what we currently offer, identifying areas for improvement, and brainstorming innovations together. A highlight of the week was a 2-day workshop with Prof. David Kaplan from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, who introduced us to Bayesian statistics.
All of this happened at the charming Villa Hatt offering delicious food as well as stunning views.
Finally, we spent a day on a social activity: exploring the city,
enjoying a tour, having a beautiful lakeside lunch and finishing the day with a swim in the lake.
